I have a 17ft Bayliner that I want to donate due to me getting a new one for Christmas. Where would you donate it to?

If you are in the Lake Ontario region and on the North side of the lake I would love to accept it on behalf of all people that need a break.

If you have any non-profit entities in your area they will likely gladly take your donation and probably auction or raffle it off. I would suggest the Salvation Army, United Way, YMCA, YWCA, battered woman’s shelter, mission, etc. If you donate your boat to a non-profit you will receive a tax deduction or credit for the amount of the boat.

Have donated a boat & a car.
Done mostly online w/ some mailing of documents & photos
There are a number of sites on the web.
Search boat / car donations & several will pop up.
Basically all will pick up the boat & offer forms for tax deductions.
Some will auction it on Ebay & then take it away.
Others will take it first & then sell it.
Partial to the American Cancer Society.
Their donation program is run by volunteers within the society so that more of the “gift” goes to the charity.
Others go into a pool of charities & you may or may not be able to direct your gift.
Good thing to do with or without the tax credit.
Best regards

Here’s a website that you should check into. I don’t know if they accept powerboats but if they do, it would be going toward a good cause.
